I have the unofficial 3.0.17276 If I wanted to re-install the ford's untouched version of 3.0.17276 (JR3T-14G381-AJ) will it have unrefined bugs or errors? how polished up are those versions in that pdf list?
I did the upgrade to 3.0.18025 (JR3T-14G381-AL) and am very happy with it. Downloaded it from the Ford binaries site so it must be "official".
I upgraded from 17276 and its seems crisper and I've had 0 issues. I even uploaded the .XML file to owner.ford.com so they know what version I'm on...
Someone asked me to make Ford's in-car sounds into iPhone .m4r text tone files. Door_open, ignition_on, those sorts of things. Sounds that you hear over the stereo. Do you here know which compressed files I can find those sounds in? My guess is in an ACM or APIM directory but I don't want to waist time going though all of those if someone here can point me in the right direction. I'm sure I'll find them eventually, just wanted to save some time.
I am in search of a copy of SYNCGen3.0_2.2.17011_PRODUCT to revert back from my 2.3 OEM gone wrong (voice not recognized) I would love to implement the steps listed in this posts.
I have everything I need to perform the update aside from a copy of 2.2
If anyone has one kicking around , would be much obliged.
You can use any version of voice from a nav package, and any version of an upgrade or downgrade as a starting point. 2.2 was my suggestion as most people already had a copy but seems like that's more difficult now. So you could use 2.3 nav voice, and install 3.0 for example, then install the complete 2.3 without modification.
To be able to install a complete Ford package without error and without modification, the point is you need to get a voice package installed from a nav package, and you need to be installing the ultimate complete oem package from a base sync version that isn't what you want installed (i.e., don't install 2.3 onto 2.3)
Reboot probably includes turn ignition off, open door, let sleep, turn ignition on. Button reset sequence will be for sure a reboot. Master reset isn't necessary. I did it on the bench so for me reboot means cut power off then on.
I wish the tools to jailbreak Sync 3 were public but I respect the fact if it were to happen Ford will probably patch it with a mass update.
Cool to see some people are still working at it behind closed doors. Maybe someday the rest of us can change our wallpapers somehow... just in time for Sync 4 lol
