No they wont "speculate" how much it will be or even what it is. I just found this article on their social page, no mention of the required hardware upgrade.

look at the youtube video. There was a small print on it being compatible on select models. But, from the way they talk, they make it seem like Sync3 is available on certain models. There is a description below stating that 2016 needs to be updated. But it never gave you a time frame, just states that it needed to be updated.

 

That is too cool if all the stuff stated did work! I use Concur and do business trips so that application would make it work well.

 

So once I registered with owner.ford.com and loaded their owner mobile app, I was able to connect with the truck. I now get health updates and recall notices about my truck. I can keep tabs on the parking meter and all sorts of good stuff. Glimpse is ok as it shows a 3" map on the screen but limited in its ability to show places or streets like a navigation unit would. Just use my maps app instead.
