Default Stalled and stranded in the middle of the road

Was on my way home and when the light change to green all of a sudden my truck stalls like I was completely out of gas, I had to pull on the side of the street now I'm waiting for the tow truck to pick me up.

The truck only has 8k miles, and the only mod that I made inside besides the katzkin leather is installing the 2 kicker hideaway woofer. The car has no electric problems, radio and all other components work just fine, wtf!

Well how much gas is in the tank? Can you hear the fuel pump running for a few seconds when turning the key to on?

No. But, I'll be honest I didn't put to much attention to it.
I'm already home, I will go to the dealer first thing tomorrow (wish me luck... I hate dealing with service) I will keep you guys posted to what happens next.

Thanks

Pd: I was so happy with my truck...

Well, that's probably your problem.

Not sure if Ford still uses the fuel pump inertia switch, but I had a brand new 2006 ranger and twice it left me stranded on the side if the road. Once I hit a pothole, the other time, my passenger kicked the kick panel below the dash by mistake. Luckily I could just push the reset button and be on my way. The dealer replaced the switch, it was too sensitive.

Most vehicles now have an emergency fuel shutoff for rear end collision. May be tripped. Check your manual.
