I've enjoyed my 15 as well and would consider updating if it could be directly swapped over .. I myself am looking forward to blacked out headlight housings more than sync 3 .. Believe it or not my sync does everything I need it to

I tried Sync3 in a ford car and I liked the 4 corner button setup of the current Sync w/MyFordTouch much better. So it was pretty easy to pull the trigger on my truck.

I'm still in shock no one had bought my truck before me. It was built in mid December of 2014 and exhibited none of the problems people on here complain about on their body panels, roof seals, paint overspray, or really anything. Just got it 1.5 weeks ago. A max loaded Lariat.

Sync 3 should work in the 2015. It's not a simple software upgrade though. You would have to swap out your current APIM for a Sync 3 APIM. Swapping APIM's won't be cheap. I've already seen someone do it on a Ford Taurus in another forum. One issue though is Sync 3 has a pinch to zoom feature. That won't work on our current MFT screens. The screens for Sync 3 are different.

No clue what APIM is but if you do as gagitz says and remove the MFT headunit and replace it with the SYNC3 headunit you will get the new screen so it should be no problem correct?

That's what I have been trying to say... Give it a year or so and you will see them on ebay. LOL I will post back on here if I remember and say see I told you so.

APIM is Accessory Protocol Interface Module

But the current sync screen is all I will ever need works great for me.

If you really want to have a good HMI (Human to Machine Interface) instead of this sync 3 that you all think is the next best thing to slice bread spend the money and get the ipad interface installed in your truck. I'm not an apple fan at all but it looks pretty sweet.

There is alot of car audio places that will still install it.
