Default Sync 3 Audio volume

Does anyone else's audio volume randomly lower itself? I don't mean while driving but sometimes I turn off the truck and then later when I start the truck again the volume will be set lower than when I turned off the truck.

Hi Tat2dcoyote,

Does this happen with all audio sources (i.e.radio, USB, etc.)?

I've only been using USB, so I don't know if it does it with all sources. It doesn't do it all the time.

Ok. I haven't heard of this issue, myself. You can try the reset; if it becomes too bothersome, I suggest mentioning it to your dealer.

I've noticed that every time I get a call, it always lowers my phone call volume (on the truck HU) back down to 17 (or similar), even if I haven't shut off the truck in between calls. I have to turn it back up to 22 or 23 EVERY TIME to make it loud enough to hear.

Weirdly, it also seems to alter the Bluetooth volume on my phone back down to about 3/4, even though I turn it up each time.

I've never had that happen before with any external device, and I find it to be strange and bothersome. The weird thing is, turning up the "Bluetooth" volume on my phone does not seem to affect the volume of what is being played through my truck speakers. On my old truck, with the basic sync, it definitely affected the volume played through the tuck speakers.

I actually wish this was an option like on some GM vehicles. Always have to remember to turn the stereo volume down before getting out.

Bluetooth phone calls all default to volume = 18 for me.
Radio sources remember from previous setting.

Hey IowaSTX,

Try resetting the module and then pairing the phone back with a clean connection. To reset the module, Select radio > Hold the power button + the right-seek button at the same time for up to 5 seconds.

Keep me updated!

I'll give that a try, but what exactly does resetting the module do?

Will I have to re-set all of my presets, audio settings, general settings?

I'll do it either way, but I'll make sure to note all of my settings first if it's going to reset them as well :-).

Ive noticed it, on different sources, and phone calls. One when muting any audio source, after hiting mute again to unmute the audio. The volume will go way down.

Its annoying, hopefully when Sync 3, Version 2 update is released. Itll fix the odd issue.
