I think you can get it working... you are so close. So worth it to have Sync 3.4 over my touch. Just needs proper programming. Have you reached out to any of the forscan pros on the forum?

 

ok guys I think I'm making progress I decided to place my touch screen which is sync 2 into the truck while I have the replacement ACM from the one I bought

the radio now stops flashinflashing responses to the knows & stuff but I don't have any sound I ran a sound test by logging into unit by holding down eject button & fwd seek for around 10 15 seconds got into APIM diagnosis screen
I get sound from speakers test

I also downloaded my vin from motorcrmotorcraftservice.com
I tried to load the ACM but it said wrong values
I was able to load the APIM from my build
what am I missing

 

Typically the ACM's that have the USB don't have an internal amplifier for the speakers because it is meant for a vehicle with an external amplifier. That could be your problem. That's the newer style ACM.

 

I bought a 2018 unit I've done master resets ill pull plug tonight to reset the whole system & I'll look at the values for my acm

 

I was referring to the 18 ACM you bought, the pics show it has a USB. That means it is meant for a vehicle that has an external amplifier. That style wasn't even around in 15 so even if you have 15 with an external amp, its the wrong ACM. The 18 connects to the AMP via USB, your 15 is normal wiring.

 

thanks I didn't noticed that ok ill look for a correct ACM that's like mine so when I do find one all I have to do is push files to the ACM from my factory backup

 

ok guys here's my original ACM I've looked into getting another one but for the prices of them & not sure if there gonna work with my system I decided to ship it in to get repairs I don't know if I have to have the same part number ACM unit to replace it with or can I go with an identical one just unfor sure about this technology

but its looks like I'll be having a SYNC 3 system for sale once this unit is returned & working so if anyone is interested in a full SYNC 3 system let me know thanks pictures are attached to this thread to view item's
