Default Engine knock

So I have a 18 5.0 that has knocking sound. Took it to the stealership they said it's normal. The loudness isn't consistent but at times it's loud loud. There was the bulletin that said 5-600 rpm knock which they are claiming. However this goes with the rpm till about 1800 after that it's either drown out by engine or it fades out. Anyone else have this issue

Could be low on oil or low octane gas.

My 2020 5.0 gets loud when oil is low. Also 87 oct causes knocking. I run 93 oct gas always.

Hopefully that works. I want to make sure it's not major before I install the headers gt intake and tune lol.

Mine has a "knock" at idle. Dealer said it was normal. from what I have read its the high pressure fuel pump. I would like to know why it isn't consistent with how loud it is.

There was a thread on this forum a week or so ago about a 5.0 and the Variable Cam Shaft Timing Solenoid was creating the sound. Their dealer replaced the solenoid and the ticking sound was much better at an acceptable level. There are 2 solenoids one each side of the 5.0 engine and only one of his was making noise. Per comments from others on that forum, its a common problem with others apparently looking for a permanent fix. From memory, apparently that person could still feel the clicking when they placed their hand on the offending side's valve cover but the audible was much lower if not gone to the users acceptable level. There was a surprisingly second fix, that customer, then did some type of vehicle change with dealer. Turned in his 5.0 truck in for a 3.5 EB truck that he had been using as a loaner and then all was good. Just telling the story as I remembered it happened, not trying to irritate anyone. I also remember 3.5 EB posts where there was a recall for high pressure fuel pumps and a broken weld on its mounting flange.
