Hello everyone. The apim module is going bad on my 2016 F150 XL. I need to find a replacement for it, but it's difficult to find one for a Sync 1. Any suggestions on where I can find the correct apim module I need?

 

Welcome to the forum. Have you perhaps looked at an aftermarket setup instead? If you're not interested in an aftermarket setup you could check the following websites and see what you can find. Let us know. Also, pics of the truck. We like pics.

Unfortunately, replacing the module didn't fix the problem. My radio screen keeps going out. Any suggestions?

 

If you can describe the issues you're having in a little more detail it may help to give people an idea of what you may need to Iook into for a solution.

 

The issue is this. The radio screen in my 2016 F150 XL eco Boost keeps flickering in and out. The radio itself, Bluetooth, CD player, etc still works just fine. I've tried doing a soft and hard reset, as well as replacing the APIM module. No luck at fixing the issue. I really need some help to fix this.

 

If everything else is working properly, my guess would be the screen is either toast or there's a loose connection somewhere. Check over the harness, but other than that I'd say you may need to replace the screen. I'm sure the 4" screen is easy/cheap enough to find at a wrecker or on eBay.

 

Had the same issue. Found a kind soul on the forum that upgraded theirs to the 8" and sold the old 4" screen and apim cheap. Sounds like you also need the screen.
