Default Subwoofer tips

I'm looking to add an aftermarket sub on my 18 STX Supercrew. Is it possible to add one without have to cut into the stock harness? Any tips. Thank you all.

On my 13 and 20 I installed 2 sound ordnance subs with amp built in behind the rear seat. All I did was run power wires from the battery to the subs, ran ground wires and tapped into the rear speaker signal. For this you may use a scotch tap but I just peeled a small part of the wire coating off the stock harness, added the signal line wire for the sup and electrical tapped the heck out of it back up.

Added 4ch mini Kenwood amp in the dash behind the touchscreen and a sub amp along with 2 shallow 10s in my 18. I used the For-11CK harness. Easy peasy.

A powered sub, yes, you need power, ground, and tap into front door speakers.

I've seen some diesel pickups and little import cars with exhaust tips that looked like "subwoofer tips".

You should never cut into any factory wiring. You would get a harness that goes between your head unit and the factory wiring, and make your cabling changes there. Ex, FOR-11CK harness

I suggest using the front speaker to get your signal from for the sub amp.
