subwoofer install
2018 302a sync 3 non Sony 2.7L crew cab. I have read tons of install threads.... has any one just installed a cheap/simple line out converter into the back of the head unit to pull the signal from the head unit or elsewhere? If so can you tell me the wires you used snd which LOC you used? I don’t have forscan or access to that kind of stuff, I don’t generally do any of my electrical type work. I usually just wrench on them myself. Lol thanks in advance.
i would do as Aashu said and access the connector behind the rear seat you will need the WPT1212 Harness you can search the forum for more information
if you want to upgrade more you get the for11-ck harness that plugs behind the radio

I just put a amp and sub in my 2015 non sony... my alpine amp has speaker inputs and so i just tapped into the rear speakers in the B pillar on both sides. Thinking you can install a LOC the same way.
My 2018 XLT 302a package has the connector and I was able to use the wpt plug and bought a cheap OBD2 adapter to make the Forscan changes - was definitely easier than tapping wires. This did not disable the rear speakers - just turned on the sub output to the connector behind the rear seat. Forscan is simple to use.

Also, what pins are in that plug? Assuming two high level outputs? Is there an a 12v switches? Sorry for asking questions that have been in other threads. There is so much info on this site, it would take a lifetime to read through it all.
