Default Stereo Question

I've got a 2019 Lariat with the B & O system. The bass is lacking. My wife just purchased a 2020 Escape Titanium with the B & O system and it puts mine to shame. The bass is way stronger in the Escape. The system in the Escape sounds better too. Could I have a bad sub in the F-150? I noticed the lack of bass in the truck while I was fooling around with the stereo at the dealership the day I bought the truck. I've gone through the settings and have adjusted the levels but it still is weak. Anyone else experience this?

I have the same year, model and stereo. Bass is extremely strong in my truck. Wife says she can her it, inside our house, when I come around the corner. My favorite feature of the truck is the stereo. Must be something wrong with yours.

Look for the graphic equalizer options in the sound system, I boosted the base in mine. If you have not, start at center display options.
Hope that helps

Wife says isn't an accurate tool for troubleshooting a sound system. Mine says she can hear the basic stereo in my truck turning the corner. Says the same thing about my 800wrms punch system. She doesn't know when she first hears the systems, certainly doesn't look outside, so she just uses 'turning the corner' or 'all the way down down the street'. I guarantee she doesn't hear the truck's system before halfway between the corner and the house, and hears the punch system WELL before I get to the corner.

I recommend OP take his truck back to the dealership, where he can compare to other F150's with someone from the service department. I'd take a thumb drive with a few choice tracks to point out the differences.

Haven't heard the B&O system, but the previous Sony system had about the weakest bass you could get out of a sub. There were many threads on here about how to upgrade just the sub. Are people still having to do that with the B&O? The Sony "premium" system might be the all time worst "premium" factory audio system ever put in a vehicle, so I wouldn't be surprised if the B&O one still lacked.

my 19 with B&O is the best of the "weak *****" stock systems I have heard. try tuning in the center stack first. if that is still no good, then get 4 - 6 6.5" subs in a custom box with 1-5 kwrms amp and live life happy....

1000-5000wrms? That's a pretty big range, and a lot of alternator! A 1000wrms system is approaching half the output of a 200a alternator. I'd suggest the 240a alternator to run a 1000-1500wrms system.

I have the Sony system, and under the sound settings, I could have sworn there was Bass, Mid, Treble, Fade, and then I thought there was a Stereo/Surround slider when I got my truck. Now I don't see that option.

Sliding it to Surround made it sound much more full like concert hall style.

Does anyone else remember that being in Sync3 and is it gone now?
