My updates with sync 3 over wifi work flawlessly. Trick is to search click update, and leave your truck alone for a few hours. Mine would work better if I didn't park it under an aluminum carport so I pull in front of garage every few months and click update. Don't get in a hurry, it's not Apple we are getting the download from

After a good while, it will say something. Park it with a good signal, click check, walk away. Go back later, it will say something. Leave it overnight with automatic updates turned on, again, a must for a good signal. If borderline signal, move your wifi modem closer to the window where truck is
. I'm lucky (or pay ridiculous) for a great Comcast signal, even then it gets finicky under my carport next to the garage.
