I wish I could delete SiriusXM off my MFT screen or just move them to the bottom of that list. Between I heart radio, Spotify, and Pandora, there is no need for it.

You can with FORScan. Check out the Sticky and the spread sheets.

These people are crooks. My renewal in canada jumped from 175, to 191, (plus some other fees like before) a year. When I checked at their web site, it still said 175, which was one month free when you pay by the year. One month was 15.99.
I called, they said the website was not updated and the 191 was the current price. SO I said, what is the monthly fee now, he says 15.99. SO I say WHAT? You are not making any sense, you have not given 1 month free when a person pays by the year. He quickly apologises (now that he is caught) and are going to credit me 51 dollars. I realize this guy is just doing as he is told, it is the company that is trying to screw up !!!
Pretty sad when a company can not be HONEST to make a living.
Check you bills people.

Technology is making Sirius obsolete with Pandora, iHeart, local media storage, etc. The only channel I like on sat radio is Margaritaville but it doesn't justify the cost on renewal. 1000+ songs on a DOK takes care of my listening needs.

I can't survive without Sirius. Every now and then I let the subscription laps for a day or so and immediately call and renew because terrestrial radio is horrible, like on par with Comcast horrible.

While I have Google Music and Pandora on my phone you cannot replace the convenience of Satellite Radio, also to top it off when traveling I often go places without cell service and listening to the same downloaded music on my phone gets old fast.

Having the SiriusXM app on my phone is great too for the cottage or our camper.

I wish Sirius still offered there lifetime membership. My girlfriend has lifetime in her Mazda. I think 5 years ago they offered it ....was 1 time payment of $500 for life. i know they don't offer it anymore but I wonder if they they would negotiate on that off the record.

IIRC the lifetime membership was tied to the sat receiver's SID and only can be transferred to a new radio for a fee with a maximum limit on the number of transfers. I remembered this from over a decade ago with Sirius in my previous truck.

Ouch that's still expensive. I just play their game every 6 months when my subscription expires. I always get the 5 or 6 month deal for $30. At that rate, I'd have to have XM for almost 9 years to make the $500 lifetime worth it. I'd rather spend $30 twice a year.

I guess I am a full-price user. They told me that in order to keep getting any deal like you guys are talking about, I would have to call back BEFORE the renewal date and only if there are deals to be had.

Are you guys calling them every six months to get these kinds of prices and/or threatening to leave each time? I am paying like $100 every six.
