The SSM helped mine. I had it done a few months ago.

The Sirius will offer you a discounted price for the next year. Not a bad deal, which I took. But they better offer the same deal for the 2nd year or I am back to AM/FM or my iPhone.

they will give you the same deal every year, you just have to call them up and haggle. dont give them your credit card or they auto bill you at the ripoff rate.

I would sure like to know how you managed to subscribe without giving them a credit card. This is the one thing I hate about Sirius. The damn games they play when subscribing. You must give them a credit card and to stop them from automatically billing you must call a special 800 number. You can't do it online. And every time I try it, they run you through a battery of options only in the end to be left on hold waiting your turn. And on two occasions, it just disconnected. In my case, on several calls it was over an hour. I will never understand why credit card companies allow this practice? Sirius says they do this to avoid unwanted loss of service. Like it would be the end of the world if it did quit and I had to call them to re-subscribe. When and if I wanted. Now, if I can, I always give them a card that will expire soon.

Yeah I got it in the mail yesterday. Something like $35 for 6 months but $118 for a year or some such nonsense. Every time they send me something it is a different offer. First offer was like $300 for a year.

I'm not all that impressed with the sound I get from my 302A as well, sounds tinny, shallow, etc. I've played with the sound settings and it improved it some, but have found that if you turn the volume up to 8-9, it sounds better but there are those crappy OEM speakers. The speakers sound better to me at a higher volume (8-12) but dont like to listen to every song at that level. I do plan on upgrading the front speakers in the spring with warmer weather.
Wife's Lexus ES has the Siriusxm as well, and it sounds much better even with the OEM speaker setup, and wish the truck sounded that good. Don't know if it's the quality of the receiver or the speakers, or a combo of everything.

I wonder if it is the physical make up of the F150 cab,--structure, components, upholstery etc. that make a sound less than desired.

Some or a lot of the junk mail offerings I rec'd had a coupon to mail back in. They had an option of sending a check in and that's what I do so I can walk away when they don't give a good price on renewal. Their email notices are borderline harassment IMO so I just unsubscribed from everything. LOL.
