Picked up truck today after a week at dealer. No resolution, as Ford claims it is normal. However, the print out from Ford explains a different symptom than what I experience. So, will be following up with Ford.

The clunk is a pain in the ***. mine clunks hard enough that it definitely is a concern for accelerated wear on drivetrain parts.

I am joining the club. My 2018 5.0 Lariat Screw 10-speed does it and has been since I got it. Here's the video...

I will be following up with Ford today concerning the issues. The whole process seems like avoidance, rather than willingness to be helpful.

Haze748, your driveshaft acts differently from mine when the clunk happens? Yours quickly twists and then seems to snap back to original position? Mine seems to move slower and stop after slightly rotating. Truck is at the dealer now being checked out(been there going on 4 days now for several issues) and the rep says the Tech has opened a discussion with Ford about it.

I have yet to take mine in for it's first service. When I do, I'll have a few things to talk to them about...

I would like to also say that my truck 2018 5.0 Ten speed FX4 does this "Clunk" also. It's mainly noticeable when the vehicle has been run and then shut off....allowed to sit for about 10-20 minutes then cranked back up. I have also had some issues with the truck going in reverse which Ford says nothing is wrong. So, I haven't even taken it in to have this "Clunk" evaluated because they will just blow it off;. It's sad that this is the first Ford I have ever owned.....and most likely my last.

Mine does this. 16 5.0. Only does it if it's been sitting for a couple of days or more. I narrowed it down to the AC compressor. If I remember to shut off the ac before starting the engine it does not do it. It doesn't bother me, not going to do anything about it.

Mine has done this a few times on me now and it's concerning!

2018 2.7 ecoboost scab 4x4 2200km ( 1367 miles )

I'm curious if this has anything to do with the parking switch tsb??

madmatt83, the ac clunk you hear is nothing compared to the clunk the driveshaft does, and so far, this only happens on 2017 and 2018 F150's with the 10 speed transmission.
