Default Simple Geometry Math Problem

Who here can figure the geometry? What is the maximum length of 1x2 that I can put in my 5 1/2' bed going diagonal and taking into account top (corner) to bottom (corner)? Simple!

If bed is 65.2 inches wide and 67.1 inches long, that makes the diagonal on the bed floor 93.56.

Now, using the calculator again, b = 93.56. a is the height, 22.4. That makes the diagonal from bottom to top 96.2. Of course then the 1 inch width of the wood will cut that because it won't fit into the corner.

In order to get things to fit nice and snug, I use this formula......F = M*A.

Is the 1x2 a true dimensional as in steel 1"X2" or the more common 3/4"X1-1/2" as in a board? Does 100% of the 1X2 have to sit below flush with the top of the bed, or only the part contacting the bed? Do the ends of the 1X2 have to be cut square?
