My only question is, did you not look at the cap before you left? Those scrapes are quite apparent. I would have said, WHOA, take it off and get me another one and that would have been the end of it.

The place I had my topper put on when I bought it for the 16 also wired to the brake light, AFTER telling me they run a wire to the cab! I found it out later when I installed some interior lighting in the topper and needed to run a power wire. When I put the topper on my 18 I ran the wire from where it was supposed to be run myself, and it was quite simple to do.

I did. He said the guy that runs the forklift was gone for the day. He said the district manager for the chain would call me the next day and work something out. I told him the same thing the next day. He said the guy who runs the forklift wasn't there on Saturdays. I said I have a gantry crane and a trailer. I'll take it off and bring it to you. He looked surprised when I showed up with it on the trailer. The guys that unloaded it from the trailer used the forklift?

LOL My wife and I have picked up and moved both my toppers by hand. Seems like a pretty lame excuse.

Wow what a very poor installation job! I'd take it back as well. I would not even consider getting it from them again. I used to work with a stereo shop installer and he said those type of shops have mostly kids working for them that are more interested in playing games than doing a good job. The worst he could remember is the company having to buy a new Camaro where one of their techs drilled an amp right through the back of the trunk sheet-metal (you could see the screws coming through the fender).

Does this shell sit flush with the F150 roof? It looks little shorter.

Thanks for the pic! That is the only downside. Can't make up my mind. I just bought a RetraxPro MX and am going to sell it. Going to be ordering one soon.

Slightly unrelated question, but have you guys seen a difference, either positive or negative on your fuel mileage after adding a cap?
Did yours arrive? I heard there are issues with production on those, but am interested in one for myself. Haven't seen anyone post pics yet.
