Default Show me your bed toppers (camper shells)!

I am looking in to buy a bed topper and I am trying to find out what the average cost is and how do you like them, what's the common attaching method. What are options that I should not pass on. I am not trying to break the bank on this topper but I am not exactly shooting for the base model either. I would like to find something like the picture below. I've been looking at A.R.E, Leer, Century. Give me the low-down on these things. I have never owned one but would like to. I have looked at the websites but when I want information they all link me to local (Oklahoma City) dealers, none of which seem to have any knowledge of products they are selling.

After looking for a used shell for over 6 months on Facebook market and Craigslist I finally said screw it and was going to order a new one.
The night before I was going to order I checked Facebook market one last time and BAM. Was a 6 hour round trip but well worth it.

I went ARE Z series on mine, mostly because I did not like all of the attachment hardware that goes through the rear glass on the Leer caps. I went with carpeted interior and tilt out front sliding window so you can clean the glass on the cap and truck easily at the rear of the cab. Ended up at $2095 before tax here in western NY and mines a 6.5' bed, price was within $100 of what the Leer would have cost me and since I didn't like the Leer rear window it was worth the extra $100 to me to have the clean look on the rear glass.

I have leer and ARE toppers
My opinion is ARE is the best value

The Z series always has clean lines.
I have a 2013 with z series and every option you can get including the remote lock that works with the f150 key fob
Get the options, they are worth it!!

I just picked up a 2015 and am trying to decide which canopy (what we call them up here) to get. I had a high rise on my last two trucks and really like the extra height, comes in handy when renting rototillers etc.

Unfortunately it appears that ARE hasn't got any high risers built yet, at least not for the dealers up here in Alberta.

I must say though, the cab height unit's sure look sharp! Didn't know you could get the optional remote lock that worked with the tailgate, that would definitely be nice!

I'd like to have both a roll or fold top cover and a canopy, good for double stacking on the costco trips & would be great for transporting my RC planes etc.. too..

I don't think it's doable though, at least not without some mod's of one or the other..

I got a leer 100xl. I also got tseveral options. A must is the keyless entry that works with your key fob. I also got the Leer Locker that only Leer has and also added the 3 outlet 12v power bank and extra LED lighting inside.

Wow - I've never seen that locker and can definitely see how that would come in handy! Do they make a high rise version?

The 12V outlets are cool too, great for charging my RC batteries while out flying..
