My Lariat rear shocks were dead after a year or so, changed to 4600 Bilsteins all around, rears made a night and day difference, changed the fronts a while later and not much difference at all.

thats due to air pressure difference between a stationary object and a moving object.
the moving object is pushing air around it and at its sides when next to another object its creating a vacuum, at the rear the air is turbulent and releasing the suction that was created, thus causing the rocking motion your feeling

If I were to replace my rear shocks with a Fox 2.0 or Bilstein 5100 do I need to replace my fronts with a lift? I'm just curious as normally those rear shocks are used in 2" lift kits so will my truck have a huge rack after putting those in?

No you can put the rear shocks on with zero modifications to the back or front. I installed Fox 2.0 rears 3 weeks before the fronts because the fronts were delayed (and installation) and the rears were in stock. The backs took like 15 min to install

I'm swapping out the rears with 5100's soon, siting in my Boom Boom Room now, just been busy this past week. The stock shocks are terrible in the rear, feel like I'm bunny hopping anytime I accelerate around turns if pavement isn't smooth as butter.

Probably going to let a shop install the fronts with a 2" lift, not sure I want to tackle that without a decent garage to use.

2019 XL with only 18,xxx miles, my front passenger side OEM shock is leaking but I don't feel an I'll effect from it. My mechanic will be replacing them all here soon. I had hit a dip on a dirt shoulder of the road. It was a pretty good dip bit soft, not like a ridged pot hole. I can only suspect that's what caused it to leak. The cylinder is wet with oil all the way down to the lower control arm which is wet underneith with oil and dripping.

Has anyone tried the Fox Performance Series 2.0 Snap Ring Coil-Over IFP shocks (985-62-009)? It looks like the Fox equivalent of the Bilstein 5100 front struts.
