Shock Replacement
The front's I would not even attempt myself, but the rears are pretty easy. Just a couple bolts on each, can be done in the driveway while the truck is on the ground. I do not consider myself mechanically inclined, but would not hesitate to do the rear myself, unless whomever is doing the front does it super cheap at the same time.
Youtube video of someone doing it.
Taking the tire off is easier, here is a Stage 3 Motor Sports video of them doing it, just a little easier with the tire off, obviously.

Installed the rear shocks myself, takes less than an hour, don't even have to jack the truck up to do so. Had the front level shocks installed at Ford dealer, cost $325 for install and alignment. I supplied the shocks, I bought the Eibach level shocks since the Bilsteins were unavailable at the time.
Something you can also do if you get some front leveling struts like the Bilstein 5100's. You can take the strut out yourself. It's pretty easy to do. You just have to disconnect the upper control arm, and sway bar end links. You can then take your old strut assembly and new 5100's to a mechanic and have them install the strut into the assembly for you. With the tolls they have, it's a quick job. My mechanic said he would do both for me for $40 cash. You just need a second vehicle to take the parts to the shop in.
I did my front level in my driveway with hand tools, a jack and jack stands in 45 minutes per side. Does help to have a buddy that can hold a pry bar while you loosen and the tighten the upper ball joint.
