Default Settings Question

I purchased a '16 XLT 302a w/ Sync3 on Saturday and have a couple questions:

1. Is there a way to change the dash setting to default to how much fuel is left on the tank instead of the towing setting status?
2. Is there a way to have both FM and Sirius channels on the same preset list without having to change the input source?
3. Without having bought the navigation, is there a way to show a map via my phone with carplay?
4. Are the homelink visors independent of an accessories package or should it have been installed with the 302 a package?

For number one it should stay on whatever you had it on when you shut down the truck. If it's defaulting to the tow screen check you settings under the trailer tow section. It might think you are towing a trailer.

Do you have something plugged into the trailer harness?

For some reason, you have to tell your truck that you don't have a trailer attached. Go to your trailer settings and choose no trailer.. your trailer status screen will stop popping up.

This fixed it. Thank you! Now I just have to start wading through the murky mess of the sync 3 and my phone.

I really wish #2 would be fixed. Or make it where the media button (steering wheel) doesn't change between bands. I mean, who wants to go from Sirius3, to AM1,2, to FM1,2,3 to get back to your first set of Sirius presets? Terrrible UI/UX.

That, or when I get to station 6 of Sirius 1, rollover to station 1 of Sirius2. Some of the Sync devs need to go sit in a Chevy. Even the bone-stock Grand Am rental I had allowed the preset to save the band.

Worse case, allow me to disabled bands I don't want (ahem AM).

I'm not optimistic any functional changes will ever make it in tho. My '13 MFT was the same way. That behavior is _working as designed_.

Your truck does not come with it, but several people on here have added the homelink visor.
