The 15+ six speed trucks with select shift have the manual mode also,
and I believe that the 6 speeds offer the driver a greater degree of manual control than the 10 speeds.
what I mean by that is : the 6 speed select shift trucks that I have owned allow the driver to start in 2nd or 3rd gear from a dead stop( why you would want to start in 3rd is beyond me )
while the 10 speed trucks will downshift back to 1st once the vehicle speeds drops to about 5 mph regardless of the gear selected.
