Default Screen Protector

Has anyone put a screen protector on a Sync3 screen? Does it use just any 8" Protector? Anyone have a link to one they used and are happy with?

http://www.nushield.com/order/Ford++/Car+Navigation

I installed a Nushield protector on my last vehicle and on my 2015 F150. A bit pricey, but these protectors are durable, show no sign of wear, clean up quick and easy, and they are a snap to install. Does not matter if you do or do not have nav, as long as you have the 8" MFT.

I have the Lexerd one that I bought on Amazon. It works all right but the install is a pain -- very hard to align and get it to be bubble free. I finally got on but it doesn't look perfect. I would probably remove the display screen from the dash to install the film if I had to do it again.

The film does make the screen image seem sharper and clearer, but it's debatable whether it really helps with fingerprints. The glossier surface does seem to make it a bit easier to wipe prints off though.

Overall, I like having the extra protection, but it's not a home run upgrade.

I too have the Lexerd from Amazon.ca mine is the anti glare as I always have the sun hitting it to and from work to. My experience seem to be different as I found install easy. No change to images and finger prints continue to show up. However anti glare works as intended. Cleans up well.

You have my respect if you managed to install easily, but the flexibility of the film coupled with static cling was the issue for me. I had a lot of difficulty getting the film positioned exactly where I wanted because the static would draw it in before I wanted to. The result was a lot apply and reapply attempts which didn't help with bubbles and random dust particles.

Overall I've had much better luck applying such film on my cell phones than the one I put in the truck.
