Overall I've had much better luck applying such film on my cell phones than the one I put in the truck.
well I do have a lot of practice as I've laid hundreds of feet of "Maptech" over military maps in my 31 years of service. There is a technique to it for sure. Next time try folding back a quarter inch or so of the paper backing. Apply a piece of masking tape to the paper. I like to use the 2 inch tape. Roll back the paper. Make the tape length 1-2 inches longer then the total length. And make a 1/4 inch fold over at end. Pull the tape taught and stick it to the front of screen. Now prep your screen. Finally lay the protector in place. Once your happy with placement holding it in place top and bottom in middle with finger and thumb. With your other hand start pulling on the tape. I usually pull on an angle to start. Once I'm happy with start I'll start thumbing out the bubbles in a back and forth manner. Pull back while thumbing and pulling back and thumbing till your done. Hope that makes sense. Good luck.

I'm gonna try that ^ Bill, Thanks for the advice. I found mine to be a pain to put on and align to. I thought the film was flimsy.

I found this tempered glass screen protector on Amazon. It gives the smooth feeling of glass and goes on really easy. Only downside is slightly more glare, but gives you that feeling of a phone or tablet screen. Very happy with it so far. Fits perfectly.

Once you buy the protector, to make installation easier. Pull the trim piece off from around the screen. Leaves the screen wide open, making adjustments on the screen protector way easier. Only takes one minute to remove the trim.
