Default School me on fluid changes

Hi all - 2020 Limited with 49k on the clock. I'd like to do the fluid changes - front/rear diff, coolant, etc.

I just watched a video from FordTechMakuloco where he pulls the rear diff cover to do the exchange. I want to use the Lube Locker on the rear diff - he mentions the torque is 30/ft but he used rtv on it. Will the torque remain the same using the gasket? And 75/140 on the fliuid? I'm assuming most stay with the Motorcraft oil? No additive needed?

How about the front? Complete pain in the ***?

Trans service - another pia? How is the filling process?

Appreciate you helping me out.....

I have the same questions, with 128K on my clock.

Directly from LubeLockers website!

We always recommend tightening in two passes!
Our gaskets do not require any special torque values to achieve a great seal, but following our provided torque sequence will ensure even pressure across the entire gasket, giving you the best possible seal. If using an OEM cover and hardware, use OE torque specs. If using an aftermarket cover, please consult with the cover manufacturer for the correct torque value for their cover and hardware. We always recommend tightening in two passes. First, tighten to half of your final value, then on the second pass, tighten up to your final value.

Identification / Installation – LubeLocker, LLC

Also directly from your owners manual it says Motorcraft® SAE 75W-85 Premium Synthetic

I just used the factory torque specs on my Lubelocker gasket. Make sure you remove all the old RTV on the cover and pumpkin and clean them both good with some Brake Clean. You watched the vid so you know the procedure

The front isn't a pain other than it takes a bit to suck out all the old gear oil since it's thick.

The transfer case is super easy. Just make sure you follow the torque specs for the drain and fill bolts as it is aluminum and you don't want to over torque those.

I took mine in for the coolant as it's a pain trying to find a place that will take all that coolant and water where I live.

It took me 2 hours to do the differentials and transfer case

might want to weld up a drain bolt on the stock diff cover or get a nice replacement one for about $120.
Its the exact same one as the Ford Performance one but says Spicer on it & $200 cheaper

Get a high capacity vac pump. Makes doing the transmission a breeze. Pour in exactly what you took out... then get it up to temp and check the level.
Its kind of a PIA without a lift.

Okay, why is there such a big difference in gear oil pricing? Motorcraft is $35 and change/quart but Valvoline is $17 and change.

Dude in the video said to use 75/140 but the manual shows 75/85. Consensus?

Just curious why you've decided to change those fluids at 49k miles. Ford doesn't recommend changing those fluids until much later, so I'm just wondering what prompted you to do it now.
