I had an essentially "bare bones" XL trim with STX package added.. I put in like $250 to update the interior so far...point is - you can always upgrade the interior to be better! See pics before and after:

After we sat in few 2019 Rams (including the Longhorn and Limited) my wife is still thoroughly shocked that I went with the F150 Platinum. But the combination of features on the Ford was just better than the pretty interior on the Rams.

In my opinion:
  1. No 360 degree camera
  2. No tailgate step
  3. No Power Deployable Running boards
  4. No center console shifter
  5. Pro trailer backup
  6. Bed side steps
  7. No FORScan to customize the truck! Can't live without:
    • No double honk
    • Secure idle
    • Auto relock
    • Engine & transmission temp
    • Global window up/down
    • Bambi mode
    • Panic alarm 2 press
    • Turn Signal Flash #
  8. No Livinitup to help us all with FORScan
When I Build a RAM on website it costs more than my new 2018 Lariat and can't get all the features and if you add air suspension it is $3500 more than my new 2018 Lariat. For me, I also don't like the styling of the front of the RAM. That being said, I don't like the 2 bars on the new 2018 F150s either.

Not sure where what your looking at, but my Ram has 360 degree camera and deployable running boards. The shifter is just wasted space and without it makes a very nice console and a place to store your phone. My Ram doesn't have any bed steps, but neither did my $59K 502A lariat. The pro backup assist was useless on anything I towed because the sticker couldn't be mounted anywhere. As for your FORScan items Ram allows most of those adjustments right from the instrument cluster or the touch screen, nothing else needed.

Just because your truck has some options don't think those same options aren't available from other brands, this is the truck market where competition is the toughest and nothing goes unnoticed. Just curious if your truck has air ride suspension that allows for easier exit/entry and loading the bed with whatever you need to load? I already know the answer just putting it out there since you wanted to make a list of what your truck can do and others can't. The point is every brand does something that another brand can't.

Come back to this thread 2 years from now and let us know how you like that sunroof, failure is almost a guarantee. The rubber around the sunroof glues itself to the body and those plastic pieces aren't strong enough to overcome it, but the motor is....

Glad your happy with your purchase, but that shift **** is just a terrible idea IMHO. It just looks so out of place.

The problem is F150 still has a mechanical connection between the shifter and the trans. I am pretty sure the Ram is all drive by wire. Curious why you want the big 'ole visible shifter. It is an archaic relic from the past. I wish it was integrated in the dash and I had more room in the console.

I think Ford is moving in the drive by wire direction. The Fusion rental I had a few weeks ago had the little **** shifter like the Chrysler products. It's definitely an odd feeling in a sporty car to not have even a normal automatic shifter because I always want to rest my hand on it and with the ****, there's no where to rest your hand.

I do think that the ram has a nicer interior and do like the engines for reliability. i had the 318 growing up in a jeep and it was really smooth engine and powerful. the problem i had with the jeep was electronics. and thats always been a problem with dodge, jeep, ram, whatever. The electronics have always been a problem and don't last. Thats why i didn't look at the new rams when i bought my 150. fca has a reputation with making cheap vehicles and i would never trust them. look at the crash test for the previous gen ram. they crumbled like tin cans. my dad recently bought a ram 2500 gas burner for 40k. a comparably equipped 250 is 50k. you pay for what you get.

I don't know i think my XLT's interior is fine for a truck.
I've seen the new RAM interiors and yeah its nice but was not all that overly impressed.
I would not buy a RAM over a F150 based solely on interiors. Maybe the hemi but not the interior.
And as i said here before, the RAMs have that goofy tranny shift dial which is a complete turn off for me.

So tell me, what is so great about the RAM interior?
Is it fit and trim, chrome, instrument panel layout or what?

My 2015 Ram Big Horn interior was a million times better than my 2016 F150 interior. Seats were more comfortable. All the soft touch was much better. Everything fit perfect. Trim pieces over the door handles are cut terrible on the Ford, the seat belt has put gouge marks in the b pillar trim already, my plastic steering wheel is worn down in a spot at 20,500 miles. That said I would never buy the ram again. Too many big engine issues they wont fix.
