Like I said, I dont blame you. If I worked in a ford plant, you can bet there'd be nothing other than Fords in my garage. But being a consumer on the open market, I buy whatever I feel is the best product at that time. In 2013, I feel ford made the best truck. Hence, why I bought one. Being brand loyal would only cause me to miss out on superior innovations and features.

Looking at buying a new truck, currently have a 2012 Tacoma, love that truck but want more room and gadgets. F150 has the Tundra beat hands down but still looking at the Tundra since i'm happy with my tacoma. Oh and my tacoma frame has lots of rust. I think are trucks get rust on parts, nothing to worry about till years down the road.

Had an 04' Tacoma. Went and looked at all the new Toyota's and the interiors are so cheaply made. Great little truck though beat the hell out of it and no problems. My 04 had better quality though I felt. Only other option I saw was Ford, Tundra's are just too ugly IMO.

Yea I have to agree to buy a new truck off the lot and look like this is ridiculous and I had the dealer fix it. I know some of you even had worse rust and corrosion issues on these brand new trucks. I guess it's the wave of the future. Less detail and craftsmanship from Ford and we have to pay more for them.

Here are some before and after pics. I have more but this gets to the point. I feel it's unacceptable and is why I had my dealer fix the issue.

You cannot deny that things like uncoated steel on the undercarriage and no wheel well liners are pure cost cutting measures by Ford to put more money in their pocket. Do you think that they lower the sticker price of the truck by omitting these items?

Say they save $300 per truck by not installing wheel well liners and painting diffs and other suspension parts. $300 x 700,000 trucks per year= an extra $210 million in pure profit. Ford doesnt care about their customers. All they care about is their shareholders just like any other comoany. They know what they are doing...
Since these are 2015 F-150's we're talking about.Don't you think with the extra cost of the Aluminum body they had to cut costs somewhere to make up for that?I had a little surface rust under mine touched those spots up plus painted the inner rear wheel wells on both sides for $20.00-$30.00.

Normal for just about all trucks.

Its normal... I had a 2013 STX that had the entire rear axle housing and fittings rusted just like in the photo. The truck looked that way right off the car carrier.

My GT500 mustang originally had a very rusted axle and differential housing when I took delivery from the dealership just off the truck.
I used a product called POR 15 to "paint" the rusted surface, and it turned out great - better than expected.
I found this stuff after seeing it illustrated in person at a part swap meet. This stuff will stop rust and looks good applied (not just paint that will rust thru eventually).
When I get a 2016 F150, I will use this stuff again.

I just traded in my '13 Tacoma for a '15 F150. I wanted to get back into a full size truck and with the incentives Ford is offering, this was the time. Hated to get rid of the Tacoma, it was a great truck, but so happy with the new XLT.
