FX4 Page Editor-

Looks like yours has an aluminum drivershaft... What rear axle ratio and what two package do you have?

My Lariat 501A Sport, 3.55 e-lock axle and trailer tow pkg (not heavy duty or max) - have steel driveshaft.

I believe I read here that 5.5' beds have aluminum driveshafts, and long beds are steel.

If your Supercab 6.5 bed has aluminum, then it's probably more to do with wheelbase maybe? SupeCrew 5.5 and SuperCab 6.5 are 145" wheelbase. My SuperCrew 6.5 is 157" wb.

I noticed the aluminum drive shaft! The pictures above best describes the equipment package. I think the rust is normal but not for a new truck, specially the muffler and resonator. I had dual magnaflows on my previous 2012 FX4 so no biggie.

Yes, the 157's have the steel driveshaft and the 145's have the aluminum.

I see that quite a few of you are experiencing this rust concern on your 2015's. I just wanted to make sure I jumped in again to remind you all that I'll get cases escalated. All I'll need to get started if your full name, VIN, current mileage, servicing dealership, and best daytime contact number.

this along with unpainted rocker panels seems to be a common issue. Has anyone actually taken these issues to a dealer and they have fixed it? Im just asking because after reading these i went out and checked my truck over and i have the same issues.. No over spray that i can see like others but rust and no paint are definitely an issue on mine.
