Default Rough idle.. help!

Picked up a 16 F150 2.7 today. Truck is great but when it’s in drive it has a stumble at idle (500-600 rom) that can be felt in the brake pedal also has a slight shake. Took it back to the dealer (ford) and the tech said it’s fine. does anyone else have this issue? Runs smooth as butter at 700 rpm in Park. Never owned an eco boost but doesn’t seem right? I’ve read the tsb about the head issue but my truck was built 1/16. Also it’s a Canadian truck if that matters. Thanks for the help.

Rough idle tends to be normal from a cold start with the EB's. Should smooth out when warmed up though. Tends to run smoother with premium fuel (at least mine did) so you can try that.
And how many miles are on the truck? Has the spark plugs been changed?

Just fyi - Keep an eye on the engine oil level. This generation of 2.7Ls were prone to oil consumption issues. May be why the previous owner sold it.

engine oil was just replaced so I will check when I do the first change. Also it was a lease turn in and it has 37k. I did the relearn process seems to have gotten way better. I tried to buy plugs today but Napa doesn’t have them have to order them.

Make sure they are Motorcraft Plugs and put a light coat of Never Seize on the treads(the high heat copper) and Torque them down, Replace the Boots and put Dielectric grease on them

I said screw it and called the dealer.. pay 30 grand for a truck it should run right. I went there yesterday and they said they didn’t feel it yet everyone that rides in it says it doesn’t feel right. Went about 200 miles today and the truck idled so rough the doors shake. I’m going to tell them if they don’t fix it they can keep it. I

Well got the dealer to diagnose it and it’s pretty messed up. Needs at the very least new cam shaft and phasers. Dealer agreed to buy the truck back but now i need to find a replacement.
