Rocks and Windshields
Does the 2015+ design attract rocks. Mine is 6 1/2 years old and I am on my 5th front windshield. Last one replace a few weeks ago and within days already has two small chips.
I will tell you this: I had a rock chip filled on my 2020, and the glass shop said there's no guarantee that my windshield won't crack should they attempt the fill. Claimed these newer F150's have an extremely thin windshield compared to older models.
Hate to be the one to break it to you guys but you're driving backwards if you have rocks hitting your windshield.
The "rear" view mirror should always be towards the rear of the vehicle. Hence the name.

Knock on wood, I haven't had an issue with my 2015. I had a 2013 Subaru Outback that was a crack magnet - 5 windshields in 2 years. It had "sound screen" glass in it that is supposed to quiet the interior sound level. I personally think that, thinner glass, and the windshield height/angle were a perfect storm for rock hits. This was my commuter car for 2 years/42k miles, mostly in city traffic on I-70.

I don't know you so I don't know what your driving habits are like, but you may want to re-evaluate your following distance when you drive. You might be riding a little too close to the traffic ahead of you...
that's a lot of windshields to replace.

I just replaced my drivers door window on my ‘20 Screw- gravel truck going the other way perfectly timed a couple rocks off the side. The glass in the new window does not have the same tint as the original, and now the windows have a different tint to them. I’m going to try to get them to put an OEM window in it.
