Reverse Camera While Driving
Hey guys, I recently completed a 3000 mile trip around the rockies towing a 35 foot travel trailer and found that it would have been nice to be able to use my back up camera to see the tongue of the trailer while driving. Is there a way to engage the back up camera while in drive? I'm not opposed to some custom wiring to a toggle switch. Has anyone done something like this before?
Truck:

5.0 V8/10 speed
Standard towing package (no built in brake controller or light by the tailgate handle)
Factory reverse camera
4" OEM display

You can do it in your camera settings. Put it on delay. It allows the camera to stay on after you shift from reverse to drive. But only up to 5 miles an hour. I don't believe their is a way to use it cotinusly like you want to.
@UNDRPSI That looks like what I'm in search of - thanks!
@SHOOT1SAM The trailer I was pulling was a travel trailer that has an open deck in front of the enclosed trailer portion and it would allow me to see the items there as I couldn't see them over my tailgate in the review or side mirrors. It would also allow me to see any wiggle (slight as you would obviously feel moderate to heavy sway) that may have been happening at night that I couldn't see in the side mirrors as the rear camera would have picked up light from the taillights or I could activate the cargo light if needed from the driver's seat.
This isn't really something needed for in town towing and is a "would be nice" feature to me when doing much longer trips.
