Enjoy your new truck whomever you decide to buy from.

Remember warranty's are offered so that if there is a problem it can be addressed and remedied.
Yes, Ford will direct it's dealers to fix some issues. But likewise, they will direct dealers not to fix some, as they get to some point, where a problem issue, becomes normal!

Well, it is now really official. I have my new truck and said goodbye to my Tundra.....as I found out it was probably a good thing too. Whe I removed the Bed Rug from my truck I found out that the bed was rising from the bottom up.... But that's not my problem anymore.

I'm learning the Sync 3 thing and I don't think I have even scratched the surface. On the display it some kind of climate controls which I can't seem to get back to, I think there was even a spot on there for me to enter a new door code.

It will take a little getting used to....as I was driving it home, I stopped at a stoplight and the Auto Stop/Start activated.....I forgot it had that.....I'm like "what the heck, this is a brand new truck and it died on me already??Aargh". Hehe joke was on me.

Not surprised on your bed rusting. Toyota has a major issue w/ beds rusting out on 2007-2011 Tundra’s – That’s what their TSB covers anyway, however, I wouldn’t be surprised if other years are affected. I predict many people are driving around with bed rugs/bed liners who’s beds are rusting out and they don’t even know it.

My bed rusted out through the LineX…Unfortunately I was just passed the 5 year corrosion warranty and Toyota wouldn’t budge on covering it -- $10k to replace the bed. I fought it for a while and escalated as far as I could through corporate to no avail. It pissed me off so bad I started looking at Ford. People can say what they want about Toyota’s reliability, quality and how they stand by their customers…I used to be convicted of it. I quickly realized they’re no different than any other auto manufacture.

This new F150 is in a completely other league compared to the Tundra IMO. Long term we’ll see, but so far I have no regrets and don’t miss one thing about my previous Tundra.

"Toyota Quality" - Bed rusting out @ 5 years...

Well there are so many things that this new truck has I'm not used to and this is just an XLT......feels like I moved to a Platinum trim F-150. The bells and whistles have bells and whistles.

I can't imagine how much more stuff a King Ranch or Platinum have compared to this.

My one criticism - Ford - can you put in a slow drop feature on the tailgate? Even the basic Toyotas have had that feature since 2007.

Search this forum for the damper kit, you can install it yourself and it's cheap.

Maxx I'm with you on the slow tailgate thing. Ford offers an add on....I think I saw them for around $60 on Amazon or eBay. Nice thing about the OEM one is that it's hidden in the right rear.

I went from two tundras to a f150. Best decision I ever made pertaining to autos. It blows it out in every category.
