Interesting... So its actually easier to swap the mirrors using the XLT 22-pinners and lose memory (which as you correctly pointed out, its not available on XLT) then to retrofit the Lariat harnesses?

I wonder if you use the XLT harness if all pins are there for all the functions, e.g., power fold/power adjust/heated/etc.

Thanks buddy! Great info

I will have to take the cover off and actually take a look if pins 16,17,18 and 19 are wired for power fold and extend.... Power adjust, heat, electrochromic, puddle lamps, LED spots are all there on the XLT harness.

The puddle lamps and LED are wired but don't work on mine because they were not programmed from the factory....also I don't have the LED spot switches or module of course.

I sure would like the puddle lamps and power fold however. ..

Well, luckily for us the harness for spot lights is already there, attached to the back of the driver-side vent. I already saw it. All you need is the switch (about 40 bucks) and the vent with the hole in it (about $70).

The programming I think is whats the most difficult to do. I need to get the as-built from a lariat and thats proving to be a challenge.

Thanks for checking for me, I appreciate it. Let me know.

Finally got around to looking. My truck is parked as I am driving my work truck. Apparently pins 16,17,18 and 19 are not wired for power fold and extend....

Thanks, appreciate it. I guess it'll end up getting the lariat harnesses then.

I think someone needs to write a whole DIY from start to finish on how to do this swap. Maybe after figuring out how to get the folding and telescoping features to work. Just saying would be really awesome

I'd just like to find the mirrors at a reasonable cost... Even the manual everything mirror is $$350+

Agreed. I've been following for some time.

I doubt that's going to happen any day soon. Even junk yards will probably charge a lot for a long time. I wouldn't mind paying that much for the manual folding mirrors if I could even figure out which one works with my setup (XLT, heated, with puddles and spots) but I gave up a long time ago. IMO Ford really f'd us with all these different options, but seeing with the different levels of tech available I kind of get it. I just wish they'd be forthcoming or helpful in helping us figure it out. Dealers are clueless.

The manual everything mirrors will fit any of them... its just that even the glass is not motorized
