Replacement Key, OUCH!
Go to carandtruckremotes.com for a new fob/key I bought 2 for my 16 scab at $50 ea. 2 years ago on a referral from a locksmith buddy. He cut them for me
and I programmed both from 1 master making one a second master. As 17sport4x4 I did the same with my honeys 18 Edge Titanium

I see that the OP never again responded, but for him or anyone not aware, there is a limit to the number of keys that can be programmed. Four is the limit for the IA system (Keyless) and I think it is six for the 'real' key type FOB. Can't keep losing and replacing without a complete reprogramming by Ford. Maybe a locksmith could do that, but I don't know.

I don't know if it matters, however OP is likely talking about the Intelligent Key used for push button start. Curious if the folks claiming 2 original FOB's are unnecessary are using the standard FOB that locks/unlocks the doors. In which case, they are not answering or contributing to the original post..... which is fine but if we wish to claim a personal experience that goes against the grain, perhaps share full details instead of "I did it this way just fine" and omit all necessary details.
I mean is the internet actually selling the Intelligent Key for a vehicle only a couple years old for $25 bucks? I know they are cheaper than a dealership price, but $200 vs $25?

Some locksmiths will clone chipped keys if you only have a single key available instead of reprogramming using software. It doesn't help in the long run because you still only have one key code programmed, and in the case of OP someone still has a programmed key that could get into and start the truck. Programming master keys with software also deletes old keys. Don't know if that applies to push button start or not.
