Default Removing the grille

How difficult is it? I have a '16 XLT with chrome package and hate the grille... just bought standard XLT grille on eBay. Should I have dealership install is it relatively easy to DIY?

I plan on doing the same. It doesn't seem too bad. Check out the video below, but I don't think you have to completely remove the headlight molding, just loosen it to access the bolts for the grill.

I went from an XL to a 3 bar grill. Takes about an hour. Helps if you have a deep socket set as well

Took me about 80 minutes to swap my grille out from XLT sport grille to the raptor look-a-like a grille with the 4 black FORD letters on the front and 3 LED lights. Pretty easy job to be honest

Went from the XLT Sport grille to Lariat Sport last week upon pick up. Looks way better IMO. Dealer installed at no cost but said they would've charged for 2 hours so maybe under $200 all in.

Here's a pictorial from one of the members here.

https://www.f150forum.com/f118/remov...s-pics-303597/

I've removed my grille a few times and helped a guy remove his and put a new one on. After doing it a few times it takes about 15 minutes. I used my cordless drill with a socket bit to remove all the bolts.

In all the times I have done it, I've never messed with the headlights or fully removed the plastic trim piece below the headlights.
