Question Remote start quit working

Out of the blue, neither one of my key fobs will start my truck remotely. It worked yesterday evening and now nothing. Both fobs will lock and unlock the doors but won't start it. The only thing that I did out of the ordinary was load the stock tune on it, take it to the dealer this a.m. (to diagnose cooling seat issue and order parts) then I put the 93 perf tune back on it. I didn't try it this morning before I took it to the dealer however I have uninstalled and changed tunes many times before and never had this problem. The little light on the fobs no longer flash when I press the buttons, if I remember right they should flash when I lock or unlock it right? Any help? Is there a setting or something to turn on and off remote start? Truck is a platinum so it came with remote start and about a month ago I added the FORD security system but everything has worked fine since, until now.

actually when I double click the remote start button the red light flashes 3 times, owner's manual just says "remote start or stop failed". Guess I'll get the dealer to check it out when my cooled seat parts come in

I'd try a quick battery disconnect and let it sit for a few minutes to bleed the system of charge. Might just reset whatever was in fault mode.

I hadn't used my remote start since springtime and when I tried using it a couple nights ago I got the same flashing lights, I wasn't hitting the door lock buttom before hitting the start button twice. Works ok now, I need to use it more often.

Have you checked to see if the Remote start was enabled within the dash screen menu? By a weird chance, it might have gotten toggled off with the flashing of the computer. If it's still on, try turning it off and back on again.

Just a refresher what the option looks like:
Settings->Advanced Settings->Vehicle->Remote Start->System

Just had a thought, how about just taking out the ford security system, cycle the ignition and try it. Not sure if you did it yourself, or had someone do it, but it's a Y-cable behind the ODB-II port, just remove the Y and plug it normal through, if that makes sense. Maybe something is up with that module now?

edit: Just trying to save you from pulling the battery cable. That's irritating cause the truck has to relearn it's idle and shifting, and in my case, it threw a check engine light.

That is cool you put in the security system yourself did it come with the upgraded antenna and was it too hard?

Also where is the antenna if you know. I'm looking at getting this upgraded antenna.
