Default Remote start question

I have the remote start on my XLT but can't seem to get the heat to come on full blast when using it. I've tried using the last setting option on the home screen without success. I'll get in the truck and the defrost will barely be blowing. Any ideas?

I'll ask the obvious, is fan speed set to 4 or high? I have a 12 w/ manual climate controls with it set to automatic for remote start settings.

I turn the fan dial all the way to high and max heat before exiting the vehicle. I also set the remote start to "last setting". Disclaimer: I had to have my 10 year old son sync my phone. So there's a strong possibility of operator error here

That is odd, Ive got mine set to auto and it blasts the def here in MN when its cold out, I even thought the heated seats were one one time but can't be sure. Maybe try setting it to auto but that doesn't explain why manual doesn't seem to be working.

Yeah, I'll try auto and see if that works. At below zero temps here in Maine you need some serious heat to clear the windows (as I'm sure you do in Minnesota)

How long after you auto start do you climb in and take off? I've noticed if I've auto started mine and a very short time later I get in the fan is barely blowing. But if I've waited 5 or more minutes it's on max. I believe it waits for the truck to warm closer to operating temp before it turns the fan on high.

From what I've read in the OM, if you don't have Auto Climate Control, the truck itself will go off of how cold it is outside, and turn the heater & seat heaters on accordingly. If the engine is cold, then it won't turn the blower on full so as not to just blow out cold air.

Same if it is hot outside with the A/C.

Usually at least 10 minutes. Then I'll turn the key on and the heat will spool up

But what I have noticed, is the louvers will not close with remote start on, not until you turn the key to on.

My truck is set on auto and when I get in about 3-5 minutes after remote started, the defrost is on speed 1 or 2. No seat warmers on. That is with an outside temp of 40. The cab is cool not cold.
