Default Remote Start Distance ..

.. is impressive. With the 2013 I previously owned, I was doing the full "fob to chin" trick all the time, even with new batteries. With the '15, the distance is impressive. Much better, no chin trickery yet. So nice to do from both home and work from a distance.

That's all.

I agree with you there. It is my first time with remote start, but I read all the horror stories about the previous generation remote starts on the F150's. I was nervous about my 15, but it works amazingly! It starts from a few hundred feet away with no problems.

Personally I think it sucks. I have to be on level ground and within about 100 feet of the truck in order for it to work. Aftermarket remote starters have literally 4 times the distance of this one. Brand new truck and new fob batteries, btw.

Agreed. My wife's car has aftermarket. Works 3/4 of a mile away

They sell an antenna or you can move the module a bit.

Sorry, never compared to aftermarket, as they don't integrate the same. Just comparing to my previous model. I love this one. If I wanted 3/4 of a mile, I'd probably just get the app that ties into my phone.

Cheers.

Mine seems fine..I can start it from in the house through several walls. Good enough for me.

Yeah I've never had an aftermarket setup but I'm impressed with the OEM one. I started it the other day from inside my gym and the truck was not insight or in line with any widows. That's good enough for me.

I agree. Last night I was in a restaurant and the truck was parked about 200ft away on the opposite side of the restaurant. A few minutes before leaving I pressed the start button (couldn't see the truck) and the green light on the remote confirmed that it started. Awesome!

Same here. Was out Sunday for dinner with the family. The truck was parked 1/4 mile away in a parking garage 3rd floor. My wife said did you start it yet? I was skeptical that it would work. The green light confirmed it was started. It's so nice to step into a warm truck.

My wife's Lincoln has the factory remote start but no LED confirmation so it's a crap shoot. Well done Ford is all I can say!
