Default Remote start

How far does the remote start work from?
Does it have any feedback to let you know it worked?

I noticed the Ram let's you remote start with your phone. That would be much better as my office is a good 300 feed from my where I park and separated by the building.

It works farther than 33 feet, as the manual states. I think 100 ish or so is realistic, I think I read on here that someone said Ford claims 300 ft.

No, you can't use your phone unless you buy the OEM Ford remote access module + perimeter plus security module with a $50 per year subscription.

Parts needed:

Interesting. So it could be done from the phone if I pony up some money.

Seems kinda pointless if I have to be that close. For example if it's hot out and I'd like to get the ac started, it won't make much progress before I get there if I'm only 200 feet away walking towards the truck. Be nice if the Windows could roll down with the remote. That would let hot air escape much faster than cooling it.

Yeah, you probably should order the remote access parts and use your phone. I'm sure you'd enjoy it!

Only takes like 10 minutes to install too!

I would say it works (without obstruction) at least 200' and possibly up to 300' from my experience.

You can add the ford long distance remote start. Says it has a 1000ft range and i believe it. The really good thing about it is it will start a vehicle from inside a building and do it through several walls. Dealer installed mine and had to flash the ecm.

After 2 weeks of parking in a hotel parking ramp, I'd play every day how far it would reach. My results were 350-400'.
