Default Remote Start

Really enjoying my new f150! Question for those of you who have remote start (I'm new to the club).

I notice when I start my car it obv turns on but 15 minutes later when I get in it, it isn't warm...it's almost as if the car turns back off.

And I missing something? Is there a way to preset remote start settings?

There are several settings in the manual you should check out (I don't have it right in front of me):

1) there is a setting for auto shutdown in 5, 10, 15 minutes. You might need to see how yours is set.
2) you can also set up climate settings for use during autostart.

I've been through these settings and I tried both ways- auto and last setting used and I still can't get it to start my heated steering wheel and heated seats. I guess I need to look at it again but when I remote start it just turns the truck on. Once I get in and push the button then all my settings turn on (still have to manually turn on seat heater)

Not a big deal, just didn't know if there was a trick to this.

Although I haven't got a 15 yet my 07 the heated seats won't come on with remote start I will assume the same is true with the newer trucks.I can't speak about steering wheel my truck doesn't have this option but if it works like the seats I would think the same would apply. I wish they did but the good thing is it don't take them long to warm up

On mine the heated seats will not come on unless the outside temp is 30 degrees or lower even if I have the heat on. When it does turn on the heated seats it is on the low setting.

I lived in Ohio and Florida when I had my 13 and I set the heat and a/c depending on where I was located. Once you figure it out you will love it. The a/c seats in FL is awesome.

They come on but only if it's really cold and it is on low. The indicators don't light up saying it on though.

It's -30c here and i keep my heating on all the time. So when I start it the heat is on already. I did notice my seats and steering wheel a little warm. I think they turn on automatically for you, then shut off when you press the start button, but you have to return them back on manually

On my '11 the seats are configured under the remote start settings. There is a separate setting for driver seat and passenger seat heat - either set to auto or off.

How good is the range. I plan on adding an aftermarket with 1/2 mile range as I found my factory starter in my 11 barely starts the truck from 100 feet.
