Audi and LG announced a smar****ch at CES that lets you start the car and change climate controls from your watch. This would make for a pretty sweet AndroidWear or AppleWatch app from Ford, hint hint!

Range on my 2015 is much better than my 2011. I haven't tried to find the max range, but can start the truck from about 1/8 mile no problem. 2011 was about 200 feet.

I tried mine tonight and with the settings on Auto, the seat and steering wheel were definitely on when I got in the truck. It was very nice considering that it was -6 f outside.

Range on my 2013 was basically touching the body panels plus five steps. Garbage.

My 2015 surprised me on range so far and if I'm not mistaken there is a little green led on the FOB that confirms the start. Haven't played with it much but so far starts from areas my 2013 would never have.

The heat on seats and steering wheel are configurable on the driver screens. Times etc. If it's too warm out I don't think the heated options kick in, which makes sense. Believe me we don't have that issue where I am right now.

Can you also set the rear heated seats on too or just front?

I was thinking my heated seats weren't working with my remote start, but after reading through this thread, maybe they are. I had been been noticing that setting my heated steering wheel and seats to "auto" under the remote start menu, the steering wheel was slightly warm to touch when entering, but the seats were still cold. I also noticed that the indicator lights for the heated seats were off on entry. But according to what I'm reading here, this seems to be how this is suppose to be? I'm assuming that the seats are "on" but set to low as others had mentioned. "Low" seems not to heat the seats enough for me to notice. Can anyone else verify that this is what they are experiencing too? Any way to change to auto settings for the heated seats from "lo" to something higher??? Maybe it's just too darn cold in Iowa for the seats to compensate...

On Auto they will come on if it deems the heat needs to be on, but they are in low setting and since engine isn't warm it is somewhat offset by air temperature in the truck. If you put it to manual: leave heated steering wheel on and heat seater on before you shut truck off, next time you auto start they will come on. But again, offset by air temp. in truck. Once you start the truck by getting in - they all shut off and you need to turn them on to get it going again...

Mine has worked from over 400' away (with no walls as interference)
