Default Remote Access

Has anyone added this or considered it. Just ordered Platinum yesterday and am thinking about ordering this system and having dealer install. not a whole lot of info out there on it a few videos, etc..other than the annual fee being able to start, stop, get security alerts from virtually anywhere with cell phone service seems nice..

My main concerns would be having the dealer uninstall glove box/panels for install and not able to reattach correct and have rattles, etc..

It's not Ford's App. I'd be careful and read the many bad reviews on web and playstore. I would be careful trusting all this to a 3rd party company.

Yes the equipment is Ford but the App is administered by a vendor. Lots of bad reviews...most folks can't log in or even get past the licensing agreement. Imagine 3rd party software glitch....and cars and trucks everywhere start up! Having a 3rd party's servers having the ability to start or unlock my new truck SCARES THE HELL OUT OF ME!

Remote access is a ford custom accessory. The service provider is a 3rd party (spindance). The dealership can and will install this item. I was quoted $800 for mine (2014 Edge).
I bought the kit on eBay and installed it myself for $382 bucks, all plug and play, took me 30 minutes of stumbling through it and even less time on a 2014 F150
I would imagine the 2015 is no different
Search this site for remote access there is a huge thread.

I just had it installed in my '15 Lariat. Was part of the purchase deal, however one of the 2 modules had to be ordered, so the truck never left the lot with it installed.

It's $49.99 CAD all in yearly subscription fee.

I had it in my 13 Taurus and now my 16 Explorer. Only issues I ever have seem related to poor cell signal which isn't the fault of Spindance or Ford. I don't live in a huge metropolitan area. Not only can you access it from your phone but you can access it from a computer (internet access) as well.
