What you need to consider is the cost of the extended warranty vs cost of repairs over that time period
It dont make sense to spend say 3,000 on a 2 year plan when the the likely hood of repairs over that period is 2,000
It would make sense if the engine, tranny, pano roof, head lights, etc. needed replacement even i if you break even.
Painful to instantly have to cough up a grand or two or three for an expensive repair.
If feeling lucky then gamble by tossing the dice for no future expensive repairs, then go ahead and don't purchase an extended warranty.

The poll is really flawed. The results will be flawed too. Need at least one choice for "no issues"?

9 months and 30k miles in. I strapped a blower on it at 5k miles and have taken care of my maintenance. Zero issues driving it like I stole it.

...then maybe that should be a poll response option.

Purchased 10/10/16. My only issue so far was pano roof misalignment. I have an extended warranty.

It's not painful to cough up the money for the extended warranty?

These extended warranty companies aren't charities. In the long run, you'll almost certainly come out behind. Especially if you take reasonably good care of your stuff.

I don't get extended warranties on anything. They add up pretty quick.

Poll is worthless on a forum like this. Everyone here is either a enthusiast or someone that joined looking for help. Probably less than 1% of owners

These trucks don't leave us stranded on the side of the road.

Not true here.

2015 106k... some minor recalls done. Biggest thing that has happened was the body control module went out on my truck.. covered under warranty!

2016 F150 5.0 scab bought brand new, issues so far 48k. Washer sprayers freeze when below 32 degrees, fixed under warranty, cam phasers and VCT solenoid(CEL light on)replaced under warranty, rear started howling last week, bad pinion bearings in rear, rebuilt rear dif under warranty. Sync 3 freezing, losing phone connection, steering wheel controls freezing with sync, not covered, they want over $1000 to fix. First Ford, not to impressed with the quality, never had this many issues with a vehicle that is 3 yrs old
