Since it requires its own unique wheelbase, I wouldnt be surprised if they stopped making RCSBs soon. They will keep making RCLBs for fleets

While my thinking that I see more reg cabs lately is maybe just a blip of people who are traveling through and coincidentally enough had reg cabs, or I just pay more attention to them as I get older.
Not really sure why.
But my last stroll through a ford dealerships lot i counted 24 crew cabs, 3 supercabs, and 7 regcabs.
Not far from that Ford dealer is a Chrysler dealership, they had 29 4 door trucks not sure how many were crew versus quadcab, and 8 regcabs for sale. For years I was lucky to see even 1 regcab in stock on dealer lots.
Walking downtown the other night with my daughter who is only 19 years old, out of the blue she said I see more regcabs lately and she pointed out that in our 5 block walk, parked along the streets were 4 regcabs, not including hers. Then she added how all her friends think she has the coolest vehicle amongst them. Yes my daughter has a regular cab truck. So does my wife actually. While we live on an acreage, so our neighbors are not exactly close by, the people on each side of us also have regular cab trucks, a Dodge and a GMC. The people across the road from our place have 2 regular cab trucks, both fords, an F150 and F250.
Maybe its a small town thing?
I just have no need for a crewcab as we are only a family of 3.

I see quite a few Chevy/Ram regular cabs as DD. Most Ford regulars cabs I see are fleet vehicles. Toyota is actually getting rid of their regular cab line up. Their trucks are dinosaurs anyways.

I've seen a number of single cab short bed 5.0L F150's, non work-truck models, but they were probably ordered by the customer.

If I had a second vehicle for passenger carrying, then I'd prefer a single-cab short-bed 4x4 F150 5.0L.... much easier to park and manage, plus better performance on and off road.

I have three reg cabs (2 F-150s, 1 F-350) and one supercab (F-250).

i could never imagine trying to squeeze myself, my wife and my daughters car seat into a reg cab. a supercab probably could have been doable, but my wife and i both prefered the screw.

If there was more storage available behind the seats like in the last generation F150 RC, I would have bought one instead of the Scab.

I sometimes wish for an extra 2 or 3 inches behind the seats myself.
