Are Regular Cabs Making a Comeback
It seems to me that I've been seeing more new regular cab pickups lately.
Not even just in Ford trucks, but other makes as well.
Now I realize that I'm older, having been born in 1979. Back then almost all pickups were regular cabs. Then later the Super cabs became popular, and leading eventually to the current trend of crew cabs.
It just seems to be that after years of seeing very few reg cabs around, the last few years they are making a bit of a comeback. This year especially it seems like I see more of them.
Am I just dreaming this, or is it just in this geographical area maybe?
Is there a website that tracks new truck sales by cab configuration?
Has anybody else noticed this to?
I remained a regular cab buyer for the most part, although i did own a 2007 Crew cab for a few years.
Seems to be even more on the lots last couple years.
But maybe its just a midlife crisis and i am seeing stuff from my childhood popping up in my day dreams.
Discuss please.

I know in this area, I see 80% of non-work trucks being Crew Cabs. I rarely see Regular Cabs in non-work trucks, and even a lot of work trucks are at a minimum a Super Cab. My local dealer maybe has 2 or 3 regular cabs that aren't XLs.

I haven't seen an F150 regular cab non fleet vehicle in years.
There are a couple 16-17 Z71 around, and those bring back memories of the square body bow tie days. Always love the 86 shorty Silverado, 12K out the door!
