Default Regular cab

Giving a lot of thought to making one.
Better mpg?
Cheaper.
More unique.
Don't need a back seat.
Anyone have any pics?
Would you consider it?

I used to think the long cabs looked stupid until I bought one. Now I would never go back to a regular cab! The Supercrew has so much useful space inside. I often carry goods I need to lock up and it fits the bill perfectly. For me it is the perfect mix with a 5.5 bed and the Supercrew cab.

I ordered a regular cab mostly for the cost and the weight since I want to build a modern day "Lightning" truck.

The only problem with a regular cab right now is that no one can tell me when production will start on them or when I can expect my order to be filled : /

MGP: Marginal gain, if anything.
Cheaper: Sure, but you get what you pay for.
Unique: Yes, as most retail buyers get a SCREW or SCAB
Back seat: Your call. I always find things that need to go back there
Me: While many people have reasons for ordering/buying the truck they do, I for one would never buy a truck that wasn't a SCREW or 4x4.

I too will never own another non 4x4 truck. Screws are way too big and i can't imagine the epa numbers aren't at least 1 to 1.5 mpg different between them and RC.

Just wish this was still the style with the cab.

I looked at some window stickers for comparably equipped XLTs in RC, SCAB and SCREW. The MPGs were identical for the 3.5L EB (17/23).

Regular cab:

SuperCrew:

RC had an 8' bed, but a foot and a half of empty space and a little more frame isn't going to affect MPGs. And that SuperCrew has the bigger 6.5' bed.
