Default Regret not getting the Technology package???

As the title says, the one thing i regret about is not getting tech package. Especially if you're switching from a car to a pick-up. Its a pain parking this giant in the dinky little shopping mall parking stalls. So i was browsing the web to see if there are any aftermarket options to install a 360 deg camera. And i came across this :

http://www.brandmotion.com/2015-f-15...avms-3614.html

Now my question is, has anyone tried this at all or seen one installed in a F150? The company claims this kit gives you the birds eye view . The price is a bit steep at $1300 but it'd be a cool feature to add to the truck.

It's a cool feature, but worth $1300? Depends on what it means to you. Personally i'd still use my mirrors even if i bought that, i trust my mirrors more then my camera.

Tech package is $900, and well worth it especially if you get the long bed. It was a deal breaker for me.

Active Park Assist is only for parallel parking, which really limits the usefulness for me. I've only used it a handful of times in the year that I've had it.

Now, if it had Enhanced Active Park Assist that does perpendicular parking like the Edge, Fusion, and others, then I would use it a lot more often.

Yeah it seems like a lot more now but at the time of buying i would have got it . Just didn't do my research. Was just to eager to get into a F150.

I don't think the tech package is available for all trims. At least, I couldn't find it for an XL at the time. I ended up buying an oem style rear camera, which wasn't exactly cheap either. That, plus my mirrors does the trick most of the time. It wouldn't be worth the extra $1300 for the very few times I feel it would've been useful. It would have been worth the $900 though when I bought the truck, if it was available.

Been a long time since I've own a small vehicle. No issues with the F-150, I guess you get used to it because I wouldn't call the F-150 a giant.... Backup camera is nice, but you don't really need more than that and your mirrors to park... I always back into parking spaces. Easier to leave that way.

I only use my back up camera if I'm backing into a spot with a wall or car behind me. 99% of the time I strictly use my mirrors. I was a valet for a few years so I got pretty good at backing in. But having that camera is nice so you can get as close as possible without hitting a car or wall. The only reason I have the 302A package XLT is because it was only $2k more than the base model XL's at the time. MSRP was $50k, I paid $37k. MSRP on XL's and lower trim XLT's were $40k - $45k and the dealership still wanted $35k for them. It was worth the extra $2k for me.

I like the tech pack and 360 camera... I wish you could do a bit more with them and cycle thru all views... also wish it didn't have the overlay (or it was at least semi transparent).
More than the tech package, I like the adaptive cruise which requires the tech package...

That and much much MUCH easier to see who you're about to drive into because they're cruising around the parking lot on their phone texting their friend about how much they hate finding parking spots.

People who drive large vehicles straight into parking spots are doing it wrong.
