People who drive large vehicles straight into parking spots are doing it wrong.
Unfortunately it isn't always possible to back into spots. If you actually need access to lower your tailgate or if there is a lot with one-way aisles and angled spots. So for 80 bucks I fitted my lowly XLT with the Rostra Frontzone (check out my thread). Now I can pull in head first and it tells me in inches how close I am to the car/truck/wall/pole in front of me. Also helps parallel parking too.

Didn't mean to offend anyone, and you're correct some spots it's just not possible, however 99% of the time it's the easiest/safest way, especially with a vehicle with as much real estate behind the driver as a pickup.

No offense at all. I agree, backing in is the way to go for several reasons, but when you can't I like the gadget I added to my truck.

When I purchased my truck, I wasn't actively looking for the technology package. But now that I have it, it's usefulness has grown on me. I find myself pushing the camera button when pulling into a parking space (especially those slanted ones) to make sure I'm pulled up as far as possible. Been using adaptive cruise control quite a bit as well.

But by far the most useful feature is lane keep assist. I sometimes work nights and drive home at 4:00 a.m. on a long, dark highway usually with no cars. I've had nights where I felt like I was falling asleep on the way home. The lane keep assist really helps with that and keeps me more alert.

The lane keep assist is keeping you from crashing!

A tired driver is just as dangerous as a drunk driver. There's a bunch of research and studies on that.

Do us all a favor and don't drive if you're so tired you can't stay on the road without intervention from the lane keep assist.

I use the 360 camera it because it's there, my work van has less visibility and I've been driving that for years, not to mention the full size trucks I've had before this one, that didn't have any type of technology at all lol. But the front camera, I depend on every time I park in my garage...
I've seen pictures of guys unknowingly popping their tailgate while the truck is in the garage, and then open the garage door with the remote, and you can guess how that turns out. The hinges on the garage door do a nasty job on the edge of the tailgate. My garage is 24' x24' and with a 157" wheel base if I put the truck in tight to the back wall, I have room to drop the tailgate without hitting the garage door. Looking at the front camera, I pull in until the edge of the front bumper looks like it's going to touch the wall, and this leaves me exactly 6" of clearance between the bumper and wall. And this insures my tailgate won't get shredded by my garage door.

So does this work with any Sync3 models or does it require the 502a wire harnesses?

Wish it wasn't so expensive - I'd consider it for my 302a XLT - especially if it integrates with the factory setup.
