Default Recirculation does not work

So I am in Florida and my ac is crap. It does not appear to seal out the outside air at all, I smell every exhaust from every car in front of me and the air blows like an asthmatic mouse. When it is over 95 it barely works. I have changed the cabin filter and no difference. I ran it without the filter and no difference.
Is it the blend door?
I have 39k miles and have an extended warranty from Ford.
Thanks.

Sounds like the blend door took a crap. If you put in to the floor or defrost are you getting air movement?

I would take it to the dealer and let them figure it out. Speaking of Florida. Saw this few days ago in Central Florida:

Recirc is not going to eliminate smells from coming in the vehicle. Also keep in mind the vehicle is not air tight.

If Recirculate is not working then the outside air will enter the cabin with all it's stinkyness and the blower blows less air.

I have no concrete data, but if I spot a dead skunk in the road, and can hit recirc before I get there, I don’t smell the skunk. If I don’t get it in time, I’m treated to the sweet smell of nature.

In my experience with recirc and my '05 truck, the AC would cool enough for outlet temps to be in the 40's. With recirc on, it would drop outlet temp an additional 5 degrees or so. You might want to get one of those thermometers to stick in the outlet and see what you're getting?

Not sure about my '18, other than outlet temps are in the 40's and it seems to cool well enough in our GA heat.
