Default Recall issues

Hi everyone
I normally do not post things like this but I think it should be known
I have 1 2016 f150 with the ecoboost the truck currently has 80,000 miles and is on its 3rd recall
first was door locks not latching lost the truck for 8 days at dealer
2nd was for a TSB regarding the abs system due to bad wheel bearing which ford only replaced one side lost truck for 3 days.
last one is for the 20S31 master cylinder failure .Which says master cylinder may leak into brake booster causing loss of front brakes
Well it happened Last Saturday and I lost all brakes .
brought truck to dealer after 3 days they call and say they are waiting on answers from Ford as there are no parts available , best case they will change master cylinder once they get an approved part number from ford but I’ll be responsible for the brake booster repair which is full of brake fluid from the defective master cylinder . We are now at 1 week that it’s been at the dealer and still being told they are awaiting direction from Ford .
Any one else have or hear of this issue ?
if you have a 2014-2016 ecoboost be prepared to loose brakes !

So wait a second....

Ford issued a recall on the master cylinder (I have received my notice).
You were told that since you had a master cylinder failure before it could be corrected by the recall that you are responsible for the additional repairs or worse (you stated best case you will have to pay for the booster).

What 'direction' are they waiting for? Sounds like you are saying Ford will directed the local service department on how much to charge you for other work?

There is no way you should be charged anything! I would push hard on this.

I would give them nothing on this one. 100% Ford's problem. There is nothing to wait for. Tell them to fix it and STFU.

Did the brakes go out completely? Were you able to safely pull over the truck somewhere just by engine braking? Have a few trips lined up in my 2015 3.5 the next few months and am hoping I don't experience the brake failures.....

@bushmaster1 , any updates to this ambiguous post? Are we on the hook to pay for this recall or not?

Update
ford is replacing both the master cylinder and booster , parts were supposed to be ordered yesterday afternoon , this will be at no charge , it was unclear but sounds like the master cylinder replacement will be with the same master cylinder and when the correct part is available the truck will have to go back to replace the master again
I’ll update when truck is done hopefully by Friday

Truck is fixed at no cost , almost 2 week turn around time may have to go back when new parts are available .

Thanks for updating us!
Glad it's all worked out.

Sounds like the delay isn't fully related to the recall but rather Ford not having parts available to fix a master cylinder (or booster).
Considering your vehicle hasn't actually had the recall performed yet.
